This is my first time attending the Coney Island Mermaid parade. It was pouring rain when the parade started, I had to manage holding an umbrella, and my Canon with my other hand, later I ditched the umbrella and just got wet!. Despite the rain I had a great time, and took a little over 300 shots. Here are just a few photos that I picked . I will be covering a lot more parades held here in New York this summer.
